关于市面上的几个UMPC

刚回了个帖子，关于市面上几个UMPC(Ulatra portable PC). 想单独再贴下，说点个人
看法，希望对想买的朋友有点帮助。

现在市面上umpc maker/model: Acer aspire one, HP mini, Lenovo Idea pad s10,
EEE PC 900/901/1000h, Dell mini, MSI wind. 可以google到很多review,一些具体型
号的forum最有帮助。

先说下我为什么买了EEE pc 1000h(h: HD version, not SSD, eee pc 1000 is SSD
version which is mainly sold outside the US).


eee pc 1000h 比其他型号 好处是换硬盘和ram极其简单，打开底
部的盖子，2分钟就换了。另外就是6 cell 电池，上网+wireless with 50%
brightness 有5hr+ battery life, which is much longer than other UMPCs with 3
cell batteries. 再有就是 multi-touchpad,有很多功能。键盘一点不觉得小，92%
regular key size. 它的Atom 1.6ghz 上网绝对足够了，play 720p HD video very
smooth, 1080p勉强点。speakers 很令人满意，是市面上UMPC 里最好的。它有3.2lb,
但charger 比其它的都轻。

HP mini 优点机身是铝合金的，键盘舒适。但CPU 跟atom 1.6ghz没法比，慢多了。

acer aspire one 是SSD HD ， 但这里有个猫腻,它只有4GB是稍微快点的FLASH SSD,
另外的是极其 慢的ssd,读写很慢，8.9inch display 小点。 优点是轻些。dell mini
也和acer one
差不多，也是4gb SSD + xx gb extra slow flash. 想买SSD UMPC的一定看看review,
确定你能接受那个很慢的second flash drive-毕竟大部分人希望装些软件，快点的4GB
已经装了XP. 要用linux 的用户令说，我只是针对最普通的XP lovers.

Idea pad s10 普通配置是3-cell battery, 512MB ram,wireless 支持b/g, 1000h wireless支持b/g/n.

MSI wind和1000h同等配置太贵，而且到处断货。做工山1000h胜出。design 上wind略
好，但这也看个人喜好。

eee pc是第一个做low cost UMPC 的，701和900后的1000h是第二代。我看了很多
review，市面上现有的所有 model, 一开始倾向于wind, 最后还是选了1000h，因为几
个原因：6-cell batteries for 1000h vs 3-cell on wind( extra $100 for a 6-
cell wind plus nowhere to find it), multi touchpad-kind of fun just like
apple ipod and macbook/mackbook pro, best speakers in the same category,
easy to upgrade ram and HD, 2nd generation design while all other makers are
first timers to share the UMPC cake.

so far,i'm very pleased with my baby. I bought it from Amazon a couple weeks
ago for $450. just for web surfing and office use, it is definitely enough.
I don't feel it sluggish at all. It has a boot booster, takes only 32 sec
to boot XP. Display is very bright, I only use 50% brightness for most of
the time. although it is 3.2lb, it is not heavy, really small to me. It is
said Atom dual core will be out soon this year, which is faster, personally,
I don't care, the Atom single core is fast enough;i bought it for its
portability, not a game machine, and dual core means more power from the
battery, so less battery life which, to me, is a down side.
